Certified Domestic Violence Intervention Program (CDVIP) Facilitator (Full-Time)
Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Domestic Violence Intervention Program (CDVIP) Facilitator. CDVIP is an educational program for men who have been convicted of domestic violence related crimes with the primary purpose to increase the safety of women and children by engaging participants to think critically about their choices and process of change. Classes take place in weekly sessions of up to 17 participants and must be co-facilitated by one male and one female facilitator. At this time, we are hiring for a male facilitator. There is flexibility in the schedule, but the facilitator must be available during set class times, including Saturday mornings. This position is based in Androscoggin County, with weekly travel to Oxford and Franklin Counties to facilitate classes.
Primary Duties:
· Prepare for classes in partnership with co-facilitator
· Be trained in all state-approved curricula used in the CDVIP program
· Facilitate classes in a manner consistent with the curriculum and agency standards
· Model respectful behavior and communication with co-facilitator and program participants
· Consult with co-facilitator to address issues with program participants, including excessive absences, problematic behavior, or safety concerns
· Assist as needed with data entry of participant information
Qualifications:
· Pass State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) check
· Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
· Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
· Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
Pay & Benefits:
· Pay starts at $25 and will increase based on experience

Child Protective Services (CPS) Liaison
Safe Voices is seeking a dynamic, creative, and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Child Protective Services (CPS) Liaison. This position requires a highly motivated, professional team player with knowledge of domestic violence and excellent communication skills. This position is based in Androscoggin County, with occasional travel to Franklin and Oxford Counties.

Primary Duties:
· Individual Advocacy:
o Provide trauma-informed, individualized advocacy and support to survivors, addressing intimate partner violence and child victimization.
o Assist survivors in the creation of personalized safety plans.
o Provide survivors with information and connections to community resources based on individual needs.
· CPS Systems Advocacy:
o Responsible for improving and strengthening relationships between Safe Voices and the Department of Health and Human Services Child Protective Services in an effort to overcome and address the problems of domestic violence.
o Provide consultation to CPS case workers regarding domestic violence, both in general, and in individual cases.
Required Qualifications:
· Valid Maine State Driver’s License
· Reliable transportation
· Highly motivated
· Thrive working independently, as well as part of many multidisciplinary teams.
· Excellent time management skills
· Knowledge of domestic violence & advocacy techniques
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in social services or related field from an accredited four (4) year institution
· Experience in crisis and/or other human or advocacy services is preferred with knowledge of domestic violence advocacy and the Maine child protective system is preferred, but Safe Voices will train the right candidate regardless of professional experience.
· Ability to understand the unique needs and challenges specific to assisting survivors within rural communities.
Pay & Benefits:
· Pay starts at $25.00 per hour and will increase based on experience
