Shelter & Housing Coordinator
Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Shelter & Housing Coordinator. The primary focus of this position is assisting the Shelter & Housing Program Manager in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of all Safe Voices shelters, supporting both administrative functions and direct service delivery. This position will serve as the point of contact for shelter repair issues, working directly with our property management company to ensure timely response. The Shelter Coordinator will participate in statewide meetings, assist with grant reporting, support new staff onboarding, and provide coverage during staff absences. Additionally, this position will manage responsibilities for two program-managed transitional apartments including tenant communication, lease compliance, and coordination of maintenance needs to ensure a safe and well-maintained living environment. This position is based in Androscoggin County with occasional travel to Farmington.

Primary Duties:
- Attend statewide and regional meetings relevant to shelter operations, policy updates, and funding
- Compile and submit data and reports required for grant compliance and performance tracking
- Act as the primary point of contact between the shelter and property management to address facility-related needs, maintenance issues, and compliance matters
- Act in a landlord role for two transitional housing apartments owned by Safe Voices
- Assist in onboarding and mentoring of new shelter staff
- Provide ongoing administrative and operational support to the shelter team as needed.
- Provide on-site support and direct services coverage during staff vacations, scheduled leaves, or unexpected absences
Qualifications:
- Pass State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) check
- Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
- Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
- Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
- Shelter coordination experience preferred but not required
- Strong organizational skills and experience collaborating with other organizations
- Prior housing, landlord or property management is desirable, but not required
- Experience in crisis and/or advocacy services
Pay & Benefits:
* Pay starts at $28.00 and will increase based on experience

Anti-Trafficking Safe House Advocate
Safe Voices Domestic Violence and Sex Trafficking Resource Center is seeking an experienced, dynamic and engaging individual to fill the full-time role of Trafficking Safe House Advocate. The primary focus of this position is assisting with the day-to-day operations and programming of our Androscoggin-based shelters and providing advocacy and case management services to survivors who are receiving emergency shelter services. No prior advocacy or shelter experience is required to succeed in this role. This position is based in Androscoggin County and willingness to work a weekend day is a plus.

Primary Duties:
- Providing individual advocacy and case management.
- Complete intakes, assessments, goal planning, and discharges from shelter.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the shelter including meeting resident needs within the communal living environment, monitoring and restocking food supplies, organizing donations, assisting with internal office procedures and tasks, and monitoring the maintenance of shelter as assigned.
- Provide safety planning, support, crisis intervention, information and referrals to community resources, and facilitate support groups for survivors.
- Actively collaborates with partnering agencies, community resources, as well as Safe Voices advocacy team to provide information and referrals necessary to meet the individual’s needs.
- Maintain all administrative files, client documentations, and records according to agency standards.
Qualifications:
- Pass State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) check
- Pass Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) check
- Pass Department of Motor Vehicle check
- Hold valid Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation and willingness to travel on occasion
- Direct service experience with individuals impacted by sex trafficking and sexual exploitation preferred but not required
- Experience in substance use disorder support is a plus but not essential
- Prior MaineCare billing experience or a degree in social services field is desirable, but not required
- Experience in crisis and/or advocacy services
